High peaks of the Indian Peaks Wilderness double on Mirror Lake with Lone Eagle Peak rising against the clear morning sky. Lone Eagle is one of the most iconic mountains in Colorado and the I.P.W. though it only reaches an elevation of 11920 ft. above sea level, shorter than the peaks surrounding it that make up the Lone Eagle cirque.
