Artist's Description

Sunrise mountain photography of Colorado fourteener Mt. Elbert taken at dawn on a very cold February morning outside the town of Leadville. Mt. Elbert is the highest peak in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains at 14,440 ft. above sea level. It is the second tallest mountain in the contiguous lower 48 United States. Though it ranks number one for elevation, it is one of the easier peaks to climb with a well maintained class 1 trail to the summit. Fine art photography by Aaron Spong
