ISLAND LAKE VIEW This pristine view of island lake was taken near the summit of Colorado 13er "V2" in the Ice Lakes Basin near Silverton, Colorado. The snow covered mountains in the background are Vermillion Peak, Fuller Peak and Golden Horn. The minerals in the melting snow runoff create the super intense turquoise color seen in the lakes of the area. This has to be one of the most spectacular and colorful areas in Colorado!
