Artist's Description
This vertical panorama is taken from near the top of Colorado 13er Peak 13,309, also known by hikers as "V2" in the San Juan Mountains. The alpine wildflowers survive at high elevations adding to an awesome high angle view of the stunning Island Lake with the high peaks of Ice Lake Basin in the background. Peaks featured include Vermillion Peak, Golden Horn, and Fuller Peak near the historic mining town of Silveron, Colorado. Many say that the Ice Lakes Basin area is one of the most beautiful places in the state of Colorado. I would tend to agree! The intense blue green colors in the lakes contrasting with such red and orange colored rock on the high peaks make for some absolutely breathtaking scenery. This high quality fine art print would look great on a tall, thin corner wall or between doors in a hallway.
