Four Seasons - The Flatirons
This collection of four images taken at the same location at Chautauqua Park depicts four unique times of year on the Flatirons of Boulder, Colorado. Though technically the summer month is not represented, the fall season has two images. Autumn in the Colorado Rocky Mountains is truly an interesting time of year in which the landscape can change drastically from green to bright warm colors to rust brown mixed with snow. I wanted to choose my strongest images throughout the year to represent in this work. The first image was taken in early Springtime with the flowers blooming in the fields. The second image at top right was taken in early October with the fall colors of the trees and bushes changing. The third image at bottom left was taken in late autumn on Thanksgiving day after a light dusting of snow. The fourth image at bottom right was taken in winter after a heavy snow with the fog on a very cold day. Each image in the series can also be purchased separately.
