The Iconic Maroon Bells in Autunm - Mountain Photography by Aaron Spong This was the last day in the Elk Range before the first snow of 2014. Literally hundreds of other photographers stood by me on the lake shore waiting for the sun to come out this morning. The Maroon Bells are considered the most photographed mountains in North America! The clouds hovered over the peaks all morning until finally peaking through a hole in the clouds lighting up the aspen grove on the hillside resulting in a terrific and unique view of these classic Colorado 14ers.
