The 14,023-foot Wilson Peak, one of the most iconic Colorado 14ers stands proud as the early morning sun hits the east face of the snow capped mountain. Wilson Peak, not to be confused with it's taller neighbor Mt. Wilson in the same mountain group, is the dominating land feature as viewed from the town of Telluride, Colorado. You may recognize it from the Coors Light commercials as it was used as a logo for Coors beer cans. Wilson peak is without a doubt a challenging and dangerous climb to its summit, but is considered easier than the other two 14ers in the group, Mt. Wilson and El Diente Peak.
